2/19/2023 0 Comments Honey nut cheerio joke![]() ![]() I've never reacted to them, and I realized the box lists almond ingredients and I believe it's the flavorings they use. That's my only life threatening allergy with some food sensitivities like sesame seeds and hated by a lot of nature (allergic to some trees, grass in general etc,) I've ate them as a young kid and am severely allergic to peanuts. I am going down to Vancouver when I am vaccinated to get broader allergy testing, so I will mention this there. I'm posting this here to see if anyone else has anything similar to this, and what their diagnosis was/is. I learnt this because a child rubbed a Cheerio on my upper arm, resulting in the skin becoming red, and getting a rash. ![]() But there was something a bit more interesting. Basically, the smell of them irritates me, same as the symptoms I mentioned before. I've actually never had these before, so I don't know the reaction I could possibly get if I tried them. I know I am NOT allergic to hazelnuts or macadamia nuts, but do get some, basically, allergic reactions around the rest of the tree nuts (stuffiness, can't smell, hard to breathe in my nose, basically the same as my allergic reactions to the smell if peanuts.) One last thing, I have asthma, seasonal allergies, dander allergies, and am allergic to dust mites. That was just a preface, know onto the actual question. I am severely allergic to peanuts, and am in the process of being tested for tree nut allergies. A bit of a random title, but I do have a legitimate question.
